Here are my picks!
1. favourite book read so far in 2011
This is harder than I thought it was going to be. The two I have selected are not my all time faves but that are two really good reads that I have enjoyed this year.

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White and Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
Review of Nightshade here
2. most powerful book
I was surpised just how much I enjoyed reading a book by an Australian author. Contemporary isn't normally my thing but this one is so beautiful I would definitely read it again. ( Just realised I read this book last year... whoops. I really was a powerful book because I can remember is so clearly) You can see my original review here.

This is Shyness by Leanne Hall
3. brilliantly funny
Emma by Jane Austen
4. best ache-y, heart-breaking, tear-jerker read

Lament by Maddie Stiefvater
The ending was not at all what I was expecting!
5. most beautiful story

Wither by Lauren DeStefano and Matched by Ally Condie
And the most beautiful covers to match. Review of Wither here and Matched here.
6. delicious rainy day comfort read

Jessica's Guide to Dating the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey
I was really surprised how much I enjoyed this book. It is defiantly for a rainy day. Hot boys, beautiful dresses, mystery and a bit action what more could you want?
