In My Mailbox #5

This week was a really good book week for me!

From the library I borrowed:

The Queen's Spy by C. E. Murrhy (My dad picked this one for me)
Enna Burning and River Secret by Shannon Hale (I know I really should have read these years ago!)
This is Shyness by Leanne Hall (this one won the Text Publishing annual competition)

From my old school annual fete I bought:

Remote Control by Jack Heath (signed. Apparently Jack lives in the same city as me and for Australia that is pretty cool since we are so spread and our cities are not really cities but large towns.)
Saving Francesca and Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta (all good Aussie should own these)
Scatterings and The Stone Key by Isobella Carmody (also an Australian author)
The Game of the Goose by Ursula Dubosarsky (I read this in one in primary school and can't remember it)

I bought:

Here on Earth by Tim Flannery (this is the first Great Narrative I've ever read and so far it's really good. Mind you, I'm a archaeology, history and animal nerd so it is right up my alley)

And I won from Penguin Australia:

Across the Universe by Beth Revis (ARC)

I'm really worried I'm not going to get through them all. Its the last few weeks of uni and I've lots of assessment on including three essays, all up over 10,000 words. On that note, I'm sorry I've not posted my Spy Glass review, I will get around to it really soon.

  6. One more correction: C. E. Murphy's book is called 'The Queen's Bastard' not 'The Queen's Spy'. Sorry about that.
